Belarus keen to intensify cooperation with Vietnam in digitalization of administrative procedures


MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - Belarus is keen to intensify cooperation with Vietnam in digitalization of administrative procedures, Belarusian Communications and Informatization Minister Kirill Zalessky said during a meeting with Vietnam Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, BelTA learned from the Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus.

The parties discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies and exchanged experience of digitalization in telecommunications, postal services and public services.

Kirill Zalessky noted that Belarus is eager to step up cooperation with the Vietnamese side on the digitalization of administrative procedures, one of the priority areas of Vietnam's development. Nguyen Manh Hung invited his Belarusian counterpart to visit Hanoi.

In order to promote cooperation across the afore-mentioned areas, the Communications and Informatization Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in digital transformation and digital economy during the official visit of the Vietnamese delegation to Belarus.

The document envisages exchange of experience and cooperation in the field of digital transformation and digital economy, development of digital research and development centers, exchange of experience in promoting innovations, exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices in the field of new and emerging digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, etc.

Interaction and joint work within the framework of the memorandum will contribute to the scientific and technological potential of the two countries and the digital technology market.
