Belarus, Kazakhstan agree to expand cooperation in construction

MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) - Belarus and Kazakhstan have agreed to expand cooperation in the construction sector. The matter was discussed at the meeting between Belarus' Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich and Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Architecture and Construction Ministry.

“Today the production of basic construction materials in Belarus is export-oriented. The construction sector is ready for multilateral cooperation and is interested in developing and increasing trade and economic relations with Kazakhstan,” Ruslan Parkhamovich stressed.

The minister also noted that Belarus has considerable experience in export of construction services and is ready to assist in construction of modern and comfortable housing. “Belarusian specialists have proved themselves well at foreign construction sites: their work and its results are highly appreciated and of first-class quality,” Ruslan Parkhamovich said.

Beibut Atamkulov informed his Belarusian counterpart about the main activities of the construction complex of Kazakhstan and expressed readiness for further development of bilateral cooperation in the industry of construction materials such as sanitary faience, insulation and roofing materials, flooring, and so on.

The talks featuring Belarus' Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko and Deputy Chairman of Bellesbumprom Concern Gennady Dikovitsky highlighted cooperation between the two countries in transport and woodworking industry.
