MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarus has invited its EAEU partners to jointly promote robotics industry, Goar Barseghyan, Member of the Board – Minister in charge of Industry and Agriculture of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) said at the roundtable session “Application of Robotic Systems as a Driver for Competitiveness of Industrial Enterprises of the EAEU” held as part of the Eurasian Economic Forum, BelTA has learned.
The EEC minister noted that the world is rapidly entering an era of technological transformation, where the use of robotic systems is becoming a key driver of progress. “Intelligent automated solutions are becoming the central vector of development. In the face of increasing pressure for optimization, enterprises are turning to robots to boost productivity and thereby to stay on top of global competition. The urgency behind a broader use of robotics is prompted by objective challenges of the time, labor shortages, the need to reduce production costs, improve efficiency and occupational safety. According to experts, the global robotics market will exceed $100 billion this year and will continue to grow at a high rate - at least 20% per year. Such data indicate that robotization has become a reality that can revolutionize the manufacturing industry and the labor market,” Goar Barseghyan remarked.
