MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) - Construction of 157 facilities will be financed in accordance with the state investment program for 2022, Belarusian First Deputy Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar said while commenting on Decree No. 18 signed by the head of state on 26 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.
"In fact, the state investment program is a roadmap of capital investments from the national budget. The funds of the state investment program will be concentrated on the facilities to be put into operation this year (48 of them) and those with a high degree of construction readiness. The investment will total Br695 million," Yuri Chebotar said.
According to him, the construction of socially significant facilities will be completed this year. "These are daycare centers in the towns of Fanipol and Luban. We will also finish the reconstruction of the complex of buildings of Belarusian State University, and the palace and park ensembles in Kossovo and Zhilichi. The bridge across the Western Dvina River near Novopolotsk will reopen after renovations this year too," the first deputy minister said.
Special consideration is given to healthcare. "Plans are in place to build a plant for the production of vaccines, including those against COVID-19, in Vitebsk Oblast and the reconstruction of the buildings of the National Clinical Hospital of Medical Rehabilitation in Aksakovshchina," Yuri Chebotar informed.
