MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) – In January-May 2024, Belarus' industrial output amounted to Br83.2 billion in current prices, up by 8% in comparable prices year-on-year, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee of Belarus.
The mining industry expanded by 4.8% and the processing industry - by 8.2% year-on-year.
The industries producing electricity, gas, steam, hot water, and conditioned air reported a 7.7% increase in the output. The industries providing water supply, waste collection, waste processing, waste disposal, pollution cleanup inched up by 0.8%.
In May 2024 the industrial production index equaled 109.2% over May 2023.
