MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – The Hi-Tech Park will hold negotiations with partners on cooperation in the area of digital technologies during the Expo 2020 in Dubai, BelTA learned from Deputy Director of the Hi-Tech Park Kirill Zalessky on the sidelines of the expo on 22 November.

The official said: “Banking technologies, financial digital technologies have always been the forte of the Belarusian IT sector. Dubai is an international financial center. I think there is our point of conflux, mutually complementary partnership here. We plan to hold a series of negotiations with our partners in the context of development of our financial technologies, advancement to a new level with new products and new services for global users. We will participate in the panel session for investment funds. We are ready to offer complex package offers for expanding business in Belarus and from Belarus onto the entire region.”

Kirill Zalessky stressed that unique competences are necessary to attract global partners. “International finance is Dubai's unique competence and digital technologies are Belarus'. I think we will find something to agree on,” he added.

Oleg Ilyin, a managing partner of a Belarusian investment company noted that investors from the UAE and Persian Gulf countries show a strong interest in Belarus. “Primarily from the point of view of civil engineering projects. The Dubai private sector also pays attention to the Belarusian IT system. They are inspired by success stories of Belarusian IT entrepreneurs. It green lights the arrival of the Dubai business in Belarus and investing via venture investment funds,” he pointed out.
