Belarus' Hi-Tech Park taxes up by 38.3% in 2020

MINSK, 28 January (BelTA) – Resident companies of the Hi-Tech Park paid Br418 million in taxes to the budget in 2020, up by 38.3% over 2019, BelTA learned from the Taxes and Duties Ministry.

The HTP resident companies accounted for 1.54% of total tax revenues in Belarus (1.13% in 2019).

The largest tax payers were in Minsk:HTP companies paid Br380.4 million in taxes accounting for 2.86% of total tax revenues. HTP resident companies of Mogilev Oblast paid the least - Br2.8 million (0.2% in the region's tax revenues).

As of 1 January 2021, there were 962 tax payers – resident companies of the Hi-Tech Park. In 2020, their number rose by 247.

The number of HTP resident companies increased in all regions except Vitebsk Oblast during the year. Most of them are located in Minsk - 861 companies (640 as of 1 January 2020).
