Belarus' Hi-Tech Park now home to over 500 companies

MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) - Belarus' Hi-Tech Park Supervisory Council has taken a decision to register 56 new companies to make the total number of park residents reach 505, BelTA learned from the Hi-Tech Park press service.

New residents work in different regions of Belarus, including in Vitebsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Grodno, Polotsk, Rogachev. Companies have a wide range of competencies in various fields. In particular, they develop software solutions for automating the housing and energy sectors, develop and produce devices for recognition, reading and subsequent control of the authenticity of secured documents, implement software at industrial enterprises, and are engaged in the preparation of cyber teams.

Among the new residents of Belarus' Hi-Tech Park are also companies with foreign investment from Singapore, France, and the Netherlands. One of them, for example, is developing digital products for Turkcell Group, the Turkish telecommunication and technology services provider.

“New residents also work in machine learning, computer vision, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, financial technology, industry, education, telemedicine, biotechnology, mining, e-commerce, video games, e-sports," representatives of the Hi-Tech Park said.

According to the Hi-Tech Park, four companies were denied resident registration, while five companies were stripped off this status.
