MINSK, 19 January (BelTA) – Resident companies of the Hi-Tech Park (HTP) are featured in the ranking of the world's best developers of mobile applications and games, BelTA informs citing the HTP website.
“HTP resident companies specializing in development of mobile applications and games performed exceptionally well in 2021. This is evidenced by the State of Mobile 2021 annual report prepared by the U.S agency App Annie,” the HTP said.
For example, Flo Health's women's health app ranked 5th in global downloads and 6th in consumer spend. The company raised $50 million in investment in 2021 and increased its value to $800 million.
FreePlay is a gaming studio and publisher. It has recently surpassed the 500 million global download mark thanks to the Hyper Casual bestsellers Join Clash 3D and Count Masters. In 2021, the first one made it to the global top 10 games in terms of downloads and the second ones in top 10 in terms of downloads in the USA and the UK.
Belarusian SayGames ranked 4th in the world among the companies with the largest number of downloads. The top 10 game development studios with the fastest growing games in terms of consumer spend were Playtika and Playrix that have the development centers in Minsk.
The report relies on a comprehensive analysis of 17 different market segments in 30 countries. The report reflects the main trends in the mobile application market, user preferences over the past year, and the most likely scenario for the development of the industry in 2022.
