Belarus harvests 4.1m tonnes of grain

MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – Some 4.1 million tonnes of grain have been harvested in Belarus, BelTA learned from the Telegram channel of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

As of 6 August, 1.2 million hectares planted to grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, millet) were harvested, or almost 59.3% of the target.

All in all, 4,103,400 tonnes of grain were threshed. In the lead is Minsk Oblast with 1,011,600 tonnes. Brest Oblast goes second with 885,200 tonnes and is followed by Grodno Oblast (598,200 tonnes), Mogilev Oblast (569,300), Gomel Oblast (520,900 tonnes) and Vitebsk Oblast (518,300 tonnes).
