MOSCOW, 10 October (BelTA) - Belarus’ gas distribution infrastructure among the best among the post Soviet states, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, BelTA has learned.
"In terms of gas infrastructure development, Belarus is one of the leaders in the post-Soviet space. The country has carried out a large-scale modernization of the gas supply networks and built new ones," Viktor Karankevich said.
In his words, all cities, all district centers, more than 3,600 rural communities have access to the gas supply networks in Belarus.
“The total length of gas networks is more than 67,000 kilometers,” Viktor Karankevich said.
