MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – In January-September 2024 Belarus’ foreign trade in goods and services rose by 5.6% year-on-year, totaling $73.7 billion, BelTA learned from the website of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB).
Export of goods and services increased by 4.4% year-on-year to $36.7 billion. Export of goods grew by 3.1% to $29.6 billion. Export of services soared by 10% and reached $7.1 billion.
Import of goods and services grew by 7% and totaled $37 billion. Import of goods surged by 7.6% and amounted to $32.5 billion and import of services – up by 2.4%, totaling $4.5 billion.
In January-September 2024, the balance of goods and services amounted to minus $355.9 million. The deficit of foreign trade in goods (minus $2.9 billion) was not fully offset by positive results of foreign trade in services ($2.6 billion).
