MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Enterprises of the Belarusian food industry concern Belgospishcheprom have held a business meeting where they presented the export potential of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
The event was attended by seven heads of diplomatic missions and 37 representatives of the diplomatic corps from 27 countries. They were able to discuss important issues related to supplies directly with manufacturers. Eight enterprises held a tasting event for the guests.
“The concern initiated a meeting with trade representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Belarus. The meeting sought to showcase the export potential of the concern and to build a better understanding of the state of things on our export markets, to assess the demand for our products in various markets and find out where we can increase our presence,” Chairman of the Belgospishcheprom concern Oleg Zhidkov said.
In turn, Head of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov noted that such meetings are held regularly. “Just recently, we have held Trade Advisor's Day in Brest Oblast. Today's meeting is attended by enterprises of Belgospishcheprom. Our vision for the further work with the diplomatic corps is to demonstrate capacities of various industries,” the chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted.
According to him, such meetings bear fruit. In particular, when representatives of various countries come to such events, they have an opportunity to taste products. “Today's event is attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps from almost all continents. We hope that they will be able to convey their impressions and opinions about our products to their consumers,” he added.
