MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) - Belarus has extended the licenses on number of goods from Ukraine. The Belarusian Council of Ministers issued resolution No.702 on 7 December 2021, BelTA has learned.
The resolution says that the measure is due to the systemic violation of the principles of free trade by Ukraine.
According to the document, certain types of goods originating from Ukraine shall be imported to Belarus under one-time licenses issued by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade in coordination with government bodies and other organizations.
Licenses have been introduced on chipboards and wood-fiber boards, wallpaper and similar wall coverings, toilet paper, certain types of cardboard and paper packaging. Licensing shall also applies to the import from Ukraine of furniture and its parts, building bricks made of ceramics, ceramic glazed tiles, sanitary products from ceramics, glass vials, radiators and their parts made of ferrous metals, agricultural machines for soil tilling and their parts, washing machines.
Restrictions will also affect confectionery products from sugar (including white chocolate), chocolate and other ready-made foods containing cocoa, sweet dry cookies, beer.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall notify the Eurasian Economic Commission and the CIS Executive Committee of these measures.
