MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - Belarusian goods are sold on the markets of more than 150 countries, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich said at the international conference “Belarus’ capacity building for the Sustainable Development Goals: strategies and partnerships in the context of modern challenges and climate agenda” in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 6 June, BelTA has learned.

“In recent years, we have organized purposeful work to reorient Belarusian exports to the markets of friendly countries and to work out alternative routes for their delivery. Exports have reached the record high of $40 billion since 2012.

“Belarus continues to diversify its supplies, building up its presence in the markets of the faraway countries, primarily in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Today, Belarusian goods are sold in the markets of more than 150 countries,” the deputy minister said. “Due to the reorientation of trade flows, the Asian market has become the second biggest trading partner for Belarus after the EAEU market. About a third of all Belarus’ exports goes to Asia.

Yuri Ambrazevich added that exports to African countries have been steadily increasing. The sales to African countries increased 2.7 times in Q1 2024.
