MINSK, 17 August (BelTA) – The issue to increase the trade in
goods and services between Belarus and Egypt was high on the agenda of
the meeting of Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commodity and
Industry (BelCCI) Vladimir Ulakhovich with a delegation led by Egypt’s
Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Ali El-Sayed Ali El-Moselhi, BelTA
learned from the BelCCI.
“The parties discussed the current state and prospects of the Belarusian-Egyptian trade and economic cooperation, and opportunities for the growth of the mutual trade in goods and services. They also talked over the opening of new assembly factories of Belarusian machinery in Egypt and organization of supplies of jointly manufactured products to the markets of other African countries using the logistical capabilities of Egypt. The participants of the meeting also discussed the prospects of cooperation in the innovations sector, interaction between the chambers of commerce and commodity exchanges of the two countries, and the organization of joint events,” the BelCCI said.
According to the BelCCI, the Egyptian delegation comprised Alaa Ezz, General Secretary of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of African Chambers, Deputy Minister of Egypt’s Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Chairman of the Board of the Egyptian Commodities Exchange (EGYCOMEX) Ibrahim Ashmawy, and Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange Mohamed Farid.
