Belarus' economic zones register 36 companies since 1 January 2024

MINSK, 16 July (BelTA) – Thirty-six new resident companies have been registered in economic zones of Belarus since the beginning of 2024, BelTA learned from the Economy Ministry.

The aggregate amount of declared investments approximates $270 million; more than 1,600 new jobs are to be created. A third of new investment projects involves foreign capital from Russia, China, Türkiye, and Israel. New projects are to be implemented in metalworking and woodworking, mechanical engineering, integrated logistics, chemical and polymer industries, production of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, and biotechnology.

The largest investment projects include production of chrome-plated blanks for hydraulic cylinder rods in Kobrin, construction of a plant to manufacture particle boards and laminated boards in Vitebsk, production of metal pipes and packaging materials in FEZ Minsk and FEZ Mogilev, construction of a Class A+ warehouse complex in the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone.
