MINSK, 26 July (BelTA) – The Transport and Communications Ministry of Belarus expects to sign a loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on the renovation of 11 bridges on national roads by the end of this year , Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Avramenko said in an interview with BelTA.
“We are implementing a large-scale project to repair 32 bridges in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The renovation of 11 of them will be financed by the EBRD. By the end of the year we plan to sign a loan agreement and announce a tender to select a contractor to repair the bridges,” said the minister.
A reminder, the project cost is estimated at about €106 million. The project is to be implemented within the next two-three years.
