Belarus’ Development Bank to earmark over Br1.45bn to finance state programs in 2025

MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) - The Belarusian Council of Ministers issued Resolution No. 15 on 11 January to approve the plan of financing state programs and activities by the Development Bank in the current year. The corresponding document was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA learned.

Thus, according to the plan, the total amount of financing will exceed Br1.45 billion. The Development Bank intends to earmark more than Br381.6 million for the investment projects under state programs, Br875 million to finance the acquisition of property for its transfer into financial lease under Presidential Decree No. 146 “On financing the purchase of modern machinery and equipment” of 2 April 2015 and Br193.52 million for financing under the decisions of the head of state.

Most of the lending allocated for the investment projects under the state programs will be designated for the state program Agrarian Business for 2021-2025 (over Br367.8 million). In particular, the financing will be provided for the construction or reconstruction of dairy farms in the agricultural companies: Neverovichi, Sovkhoz‘Bolshoye Mozheikovo, Agro-Kolyadichi, Ignatichi, Selection-Hybrid Center Zapadny, Sheni-agroproduct, Gomelenergo, Gozha. Most of the funds (over Br235.3 million) will be used to finance the promising investment projects in three agro-industrial complexes: Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm, Parohonskoye and Morskie Sezony.

Earlier it was reported that the Development Bank increased financing of the economy to a record Br15 billion in 2024.
