MINSK, 9 June (BelTA) – OAO Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus and the State Savings Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan Amonatbonk have signed a basic agreement on export loans for deliveries of Belarusian goods, representatives of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus (DBRB) told BelTA.
As he met with the top-ranking members of the Tajik delegation Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank Aleksandr Yegorov noted: “The signing of the document is supposed to become the starting point for larger and tighter economic cooperation between our countries, create new opportunities for Belarusian and Tajik companies and hence facilitate the realization of strategic interests of the sides.”
In his words, products made by Tajikistan's agriculture are well-known all over the world while Belarusian mechanical engineering companies are ready to offer cutting-edge and innovative agricultural technologies and equipment. “Thanks to efforts of our banks a reliable financial bridge has been built for prompt and effective realization of this mutually beneficial process,” Aleksandr Yegorov stressed.
The State Savings Bank Amonatbonk is Tajikistan's largest state bank. It was founded by the Finance Ministry. The bank is a member of the Interbank Consortium of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The bank actively participates in Tajikistan's government programs on accelerated industrialization, on ensuring food security, on supporting small and medium businesses, on developing tourism and reviving national traditions.
