Belarus completes 2021 winter sowing

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Belarus has planted a total of 1,457,400 hectares with winter crops, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

The winter sowing made up 100.1% of the 1,456,100 hectares target, the ministry added.

As of 10 October, grain and leguminous crops (including corn) were harvested from 2.161 million hectares (91.6% of the target area). Some 6.733 million tonnes of grain have been threshed. Minsk Oblast is leading with more than 1.72 million tonnes threshed. It is followed by Brest Oblast - more than 1.27 million tonnes, Grodno Oblast - more than 1.2 million tonnes, Mogilev Oblast - 882,000 tonnes, Gomel Oblast – 848,700 tonnes, Vitebsk Oblast – 796,700 tonnes.
