Belarus' commodity exchange to arrange international business seminar in Riga

MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) will organize an international seminar on cross-border commodities trade in Riga, BelTA learned from the press service of BUCE.

The seminar will bring together business communities from the Baltic countries, Poland, Germany and other members of the EU. It will take place on the sidelines of the 34th International Building Industry Trade Fair, House I 2020, on 13 March. The participants will discuss ways to expand the use of electronic trading platforms of BUCE for the procurement of Belarusian wood products, construction materials and other goods that are in high demand in the Baltic countries and Northern Europe and will also consider a possibility to raise foreign investment in Belarus' wood processing projects.

The seminar is organized with the support of the Belarusian Embassy in Latvia and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia. Taking part in the event will be representatives of the Bellesbumprom concern, the Bellesexport enterprise, the Belarusian Forestry Company, BR Consult, the company in charge of managing a holding company of woodworking enterprises, the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, SIA Business Support Services (the broker of BUCE in Latvia) and other organizations that display interest in enhancing trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Latvia.
