Belarus, China to work out cooperation plan until 2030

MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus Xie Xiaoyong on 12 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, including the implementation of the agreements reached by the heads of state. They considered the plan of bilateral activities for 2024.

The parties emphasized the importance of drafting a plan for cooperation between Belarus and China until 2030, deepening technological and investment cooperation, regional cooperation, implementation of humanitarian initiatives.

The parties also touched upon the interaction within international organizations.

The Chinese ambassador reaffirms his country’s readiness to continue supporting Minsk in preparing Belarus' accession to the SCO as a full member, as well as promoting Belarus’ application to BRICS.
