MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – Organizations of Belarus and China plan to develop bilateral cooperation in conformity assessment, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian State Committee for Standardization.
A delegation of the China Quality Certification Center and the China Certification Company visited the Belarusian State Committee for Standardization to hold talks with representatives of the committee and its institutes. Chinese specialists got familiar with the activity of the Belarusian State Institute of Standardization and Certification and the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology, visited a number of laboratories.
First Deputy Chairwoman of the State Committee for Standardization Irina Osmola said that the current framework of bilateral agreements with Chinese partners help the subordinate organizations find points of common interest and develop cooperation. “We hope that the Chinese organizations will develop close cooperation with the institutes of the State Committee for Standardization, and we will be able to work in the areas of mutual interest,” she added.
Chinese specialists praised the potential for bilateral cooperation with the Belarusian State Institute of Standardization and Certification and the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology, especially in conformity assessment of food products, radio engineering and other goods. The parties are also interested in a mutual exchange of information, personnel training. The parties find bilateral cooperation important taking into account the operation of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.
An agreement has been reached to finalize draft agreements on cooperation. Belarusian specialists were invited to visit the China Quality Certification Center and the China Certification Company.
