Belarus, China mull over joint assembly plants in Hohhot

MINSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Belarus and China are discussing an opportunity to set up joint plants to assemble agricultural machinery in China's Hohhot, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Beijing.

The matter was discussed at a meeting of Belarus' Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats and Belarus' Industry Minister Pavel Utyupin with Hohhot Mayor Feng Yuzhen. The parties discussed issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the supply of Belarusian agricultural products and the exchange of cattle breeding experience. Special attention was focused on the organization of joint Belarusian-Chinese agricultural assembly plants in Hohhot.

The talks were held as part of the Belarusian delegation's participation in the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai.
