Belarus, China accreditation services to expand cooperation

MINSK, 20 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian State Center for Accreditation and the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment have signed a memorandum of understanding, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee for Standardization.

The signing ceremony took place following the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Kirill Rudy with Secretary General of the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment Xiao Jianhua.

“The memorandum will facilitate cooperation between the accreditation services of the two states and will help overcome technical barriers in trade,” the press service informed.

On 12 December the Belarusian State Institute of Metrology hosted a delegation of the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) of China to discuss Belarus-China interaction in metrology.
