Belarus' central bank to issue commemorative coins

MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) - The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus will issue a series of commemorative coins on 5 August. Relevant resolution No.193 of the National Bank's Board of 2 July 2021 was officially published on the national legal internet portal on 8 July, BelTA has learned.

The bank will issue the Woodcarving coins from the Belarusian Folk Arts and Crafts series: the silver coin will have a limited edition of 799 and cost Br20, the copper-nickel coin - 1,699 and Br1 respectively.

The Summer Sports. Basketball silver and copper-nickel coins will have an edition of 799 units (Br20) and 1,4000 (Br1) respectively.

The National Bank will also issue the coins to celebrate 100th anniversary of Belarusian Sate University: 999 silver coins (Br20) and 1,999 cooper-nickel coins (Br1).

The coins will be a legal tender in the Republic of Belarus.
