Belarus' Belneftekhim petrochemical concern sets tasks for 2020

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim has set major objectives for 2020 at a session of the board of the concern, BelTA learned from the website of the concern.

These objectives include achieving performance-related tasks, diversifying oil supplies to Belarusian oil refineries, meeting domestic needs for petroleum and petrochemical products, increasing operational efficiency across all the organizations affiliated with the concern, and raising the labor productivity.

“Despite a number of emergencies (including supplies of tainted Russian oil) that affected the volume of oil supplies and terms of oil processing, the concern and petrochemical companies managed to minimize systemic damage and to approach the targets they were supposed to achieve,” the concern informed. The participants of the session assessed the new operational conditions in the industry, determined a strategy and ways to adapt to the new market terms.

Chairman of the concern Andrei Rybakov analyzed the performance of all the companies affiliated with the concern and instructed their heads to improve their foreign economic operations, return foreign currency revenues in time and cut production costs.

Top on the agenda of the session was occupational safety, prevention of accidents, traumas and emergencies, as well as establishment of supervision at the economic operators which shares are managed by Belneftekhim.
