MOSCOW, 14 October (BelTA) - Belarus is among the industrial growth leaders in the Eurasian Economic Union. This is evidenced by the data provided to BelTA by the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
In January-August 2024, the industrial production of the Eurasian Economic Union rose by 4.5% over January-August 2023. "An increase in industrial production in January-August 2024 was observed in all EAEU states," the EEC stated.
In January-August 2024, industrial production in Armenia surged by 13.7%, in Belarus - by 7.1%, Russia - by 4.5%, Kazakhstan - by 3%, Kyrgyzstan - by 0.7%.
"The processing industry in the EAEU expanded by 7.9%; electricity, gas and steam supply and air conditioning - by 3.8%, water supply, sewerage system, control over the collection and distribution of waste - by 1.1% The mining industry and quarrying shrank by 0.2%," the EEC added.
