MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov and the staff of the Belarusian embassy attended a ceremony to mark National Digital Transformation Day in Vietnam, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communications of Vietnam, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Hanoi.
Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh spoke at the event held in the national conference hall and awarded the winners of the startups in the Digital Transformation Solution of the Year category. He said that computerization should become a driving force and a new way of social and economic development. Vietnam's Minister of Information and Communication Nguyen Manh Hung addressed the audience and urged them to increase online access to services for the public, improve the security of electronic databases, and develop more mobile applications.
During the event, the representatives of the diplomatic corps had a brief exchange of opinions. The Belarusian ambassador emphasized the importance of using IT achievements for the creative development of the society, and spoke in favor of equal access to technology.
