MOSCOW, 3 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik took part in the events of Russian Retail Week 2025, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.
“At the strategic session on the return of foreign brands to Russia, the Belarusian ambassador spoke at a discussion on the potential risks of the return of foreign brands, economic feasibility, consequences, and conditions for a possible return. The session was also attended by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, Chairman of the Presidium of the Association of Retail Companies (ACORT) Stanislav Bogdanov, President of the Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT) Artem Sokolov, management of major Russian retailers (M. Video-Eldorado, DNS, X5 Group, Magnit, Spar) and marketplaces (Ozon), as well as representatives of the banking sector,” the press service said.
On the sidelines of the event, Aleksandr Rogozhnik held talks on cooperation with Belarusian manufacturers with President of X5 Group Ekaterina Lobacheva, Managing Director of the Magnit retail chain Anna Meleshina, and CEO of M.Video-Eldorado Felix Lib.
“Belarus discussed with Andrei Karpov, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Association of Retail Market Experts, the prospects of organizing a similar Retail Week in 2026 in Belarus at the Minsk International Exhibition Center BelExpo,” the press service said.
