Belarus' agricultural output 4.4% down in January-November

MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – The output by all types of agricultural producers (state-run enterprises, private farms, subsidiary plots of individuals) totaled Br23.7 billion in January- November 2021 or 95.6% as against January-November 2020 in comparable prices, BelTA has learned.

State-run enterprises produced Br19.8 billion worth of products or 96.6% as against the same period of last year in comparable prices.

Agricultural producers of all types made 1.6 million tonnes of live weight cattle and poultry, 7.1 million tonnes of milk, and 3,229.4 million eggs. State-run agricultural enterprises accounted for 96.4% of the total production of live weight cattle and poultry, 96.9% of the milk output, and 84.4% of the egg output.

As of 1 December 2021 state-run agricultural enterprises had 4.1 million head of cattle, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs stood at 2.3 million.

This year state-run agricultural enterprises have harvested 13.5 million tonnes of feed units, including 9.3 million tonnes of grass feed. The feed in storage amounted to 32.9 centners per head of cattle, including 29.9 centners of grass feed.
