Belarus' agricultural export up by 11.3% in January-May

MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) – In January-May 2021 Belarus' export of agricultural products and foodstuffs amounted to about $2.5 billion, up by 11.3% year-on-year, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

In January-May 2021, Belarus exported its food products to 93 countries. “Shipments increased nearly to all regions. The export to the CIS countries, including Russia, went up by 6.2%. Supplies to the countries of Asia and Oceania soared by 58.5%, to the EU by 45.7%, to Americas and the Caribbean countries by 85.7%, and to African countries by 25%. The export of foodstuffs to China expanded by 52.6%. All in all, in Belarus' export to non-CIS countries surged by 53.3% year-on-year,” the press service informed.

The export of milk and dairy products rose by 9.4%, beef by 8.3%, sausage products by 33.6%, fish and fish products by 23.2%, eggs by 45%, potatoes by 11.9%, and rapeseed oil by 83%.
