Belagro 2021 to feature over 350 companies from 16 countries

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) - More than 350 companies from 16 countries will take part in the Belagro 2021 exhibition. Applications are still open, BelTA learned from the press service of the Agriculture and Food Ministry.

A meeting of the organizing chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Subbotin held a meeting on 17 May.

It was attended by representatives of ministries, regional administrations, departments, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and heads of enterprises. The meeting considered the placement of exhibits, trade and catering facilities, fire safety, law enforcement, and a number of other topics.

"Traditionally, Belagro is one of the largest events for the agricultural industry of Belarus. To date, we have received more than 350 applications from companies of 16 countries: Belarus, Russia, Italy, Jordan, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, France, Czech Republic, China, Great Britain, Serbia, Sweden, Belgium, Austria. Applications are still open," the press service noted.

The domestic agricultural industry will showcase its achievements in a special exhibition organized annually by the Agriculture and Food Ministry. The latest developments will be also demonstrated by the research centers on mechanization of agriculture, farming, potato, fruit and vegetable production, and food of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB). The NASB Research Center for Livestock Industry and the Belarusian State Association for livestock breeding Belplemzhivobedinenie will organize a special exhibition of the achievements of domestic livestock and poultry production.

The expo will also have a packed business program that will include two dozen conferences and seminars on a wide range of matters regarding ensuring competitiveness of agricultural products, land use, livestock breeding development, and prospects for Belarus' cooperation with CIS and non-CIS countries in the production of innovative technologies for agriculture. The business program will also include demonstrations, presentations, master classes, and contests.

Belagro will feature an open discussion of food market operators “Production, consumption, export of agricultural products: Finding the balance for sustainable development”, the conferences “Current issues of legislation and innovative technologies for livestock breeding”, “Role of modern science and agricultural education in the development of modern agriculture”, “Latest agricultural machinery, power engineering and manufacturing equipment”, “Organic farming”, “Innovative technologies in the agricultural sector”, “New solutions for agriculture from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus”, and “IT solutions for agriculture. Marketing that sells”.

The expo will also include the roundtables “Cooperation between Belarusian and Russian companies” and “Practices, problems, and prospects for the development of farms”, the fair of innovative solutions “Agriculture 2021: Technologies, equipment”, contests for the best brood cow, the best brood horse, the best plowman, the tasting competition Champion of Taste, and other events.

The international agriculture expo Belagro 2021 will take place in the Belarus-China industrial park Great Stone on 1-5 June. The industrial park is located 25km away from Minsk (29 Pekinsky Avenue, Smolevichi District). The expo will be running in two indoor pavilions and in an outdoor area.

A free bus service will be operated from the Mogilevskaya metro station to the venue during the expo. Visitors can also get to the venue using regional bus routes and fixed-route taxis.
