MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – SOOO Belarusian Cloud Technologies (beCloud) will start performing functions of the technical administrator of the national domain zone as from 1 January 2022 according to order No.138 issued by the Operations and Analysis Center under the President of the Republic of Belarus on 25 August, beCloud representatives told BelTA.
About 150,000 domain names are registered in the .BY and .БЕЛ zones at present. OOO Reliable Programs (hoster.by) has been the technical administrator of the national domain zone for the last ten years. The company is responsible for the national domain zone's operation starting with the maintenance of the domain name registry and the operation of DNS servers and ending with the organization of charity auctions to sell domain names.
SOOO Belarusian Cloud Technologies is Belarus' first telecommunication infrastructure company to build a data center that complies with Uptime Institute's level 3 reliability requirements. The fact is confirmed by Uptime Institute Tier III Design Documents and Uptime Institute TIER III Facility Construction certificates.
