MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – The Days of Moscow in Minsk have become an important platform to strengthen the strategic partnership between Belarus and Russia, Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic and International Relations of Moscow Sergei Cheryomin said at a meeting of the working group for interaction between Moscow and the Republic of Belarus, BelTA has learned.
“The Days of Moscow, that are running in Minsk today, are one of the most important ways to bolster our long-standing friendly and strategic relations. We are part of the Union State, and we use all possible tools to build contacts between our enterprises and organizations,” Sergei Cheryomin emphasized.
The minister noted that trade between the countries is on the rise. “Last year, Belarus was Moscow’s fourth biggest trading partner. The trade exceeded $20 billion. This year, the positive trend remains in place,” he specified.
Particular attention at the working group meeting was paid to cooperation in the automotive industry, supplies of Belarusian equipment for the housing and utilities sector of Moscow and road machinery. “The meeting of our working group is a very important tool for deepening cooperation between Minsk and Moscow,” emphasized Sergei Cheryomin.
