MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – In Belarus there are around 12,000 registered online shops, head of the trade and services management division of the Belarusian Trade Ministry Violetta Brezovskaya told journalists on 13 April at BelTA's press center.
“As of 1 April 2016, around 12,000 online shops were registered in Belarus, the majority of them in Minsk and Minsk Oblast,” Violetta Brezovskaya said. She added that the Trade Ministry is working hard to promote e-commerce.
Since late 2015, all online shops in Belarus have been required to accept payments for goods via ERIP (Single Payment and Information Space) or bank cards in line with Resolution No. 924/16 of the Council of Ministers and the National Bank. “Online shopping is an advanced form of commerce. E-shops strive to integrate the latest technologies into their operations,” Violetta Brezovskaya stressed.
