MINSK, 15 January (BelTA) – Belarus is actively working to create eight multi-brand sales and maintenance centers in Russia, Belarusian Ambassador of to Russia Dmitry Krutoi told the media on 12 January, BelTA has learned.
“In 2023 we focused on the transformation of the commodity distribution network and development of these facilities in Russia, primarily with Belarusian capital. The president spoke on this issue twice: at the government meeting on pricing and at the First National Trading House opening ceremony in Minsk,” Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi said. “Given the importance and scale of exports by the Industry Ministry enterprises, we have serious work ahead of us. “The enterprises, our minister, deputy prime minister and I are currently working on this”, he stated.
According to him, the Belarusian-Chinese BelGee car factory markedly increased exports to the Russian market. “The company has invested in its own distribution network, certifies dealership and distribution structures and maintenance centers and keeps all these all under its own control. BelGee’s experience shows that this is the most effective way of work. Given the current mobilization of economy and sanctions, we cannot leave sales margins to intermediaries”, the ambassador noted.
“We have put together a program to build the first eight multi-brand centers. We are already actively working on them. One of Belarusian automobile engineering companies (MTZ, BelAZ or MAZ) will act as an aggregator,” he explained. “It will fully control the entire sales system of Belarusian equipment and will be responsible for meeting export targets,” Ambassador Dmitry Krutoi said.
Plans are in place to study the operation of the BelAZ multi-brand sales and maintenance center in Russia’s Kemerovo Oblast. "BelAZ has undertaken to sell spare parts to machines and equipment by other manufacturers,” the ambassador added.
