KURSK, 13 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia’s Kursk Oblast have every chance to achieve $1 billion in trade in the near future, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik told journalists following the meeting with Governor of the Russian region Alexander Khinshtein in Kursk on 13 November, BelTA has learned.
“It is very important that this year trade between our country and Kursk Oblast has grown by nearly 50%. In January-September, we reached half a billion dollars. This is an excellent result. I believe that, following today’s talks, when we agreed to draw up a roadmap for further cooperation, we will move closer to the billion mark,” Aleksandr Rogozhnik said.
“The roadmap will be filled with concrete projects, specific initiatives, and designated responsible managers to ensure implementation,” he explained.
“I would be very happy if the governor, together with his team of specialists and heads of industrial enterprises and businesses, visits our country,” the Belarusian ambassador added.
