MOSCOW, 19 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia will complement each other in microelectronics, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik said as he addressed The Union State: At The Turn Of Eras session at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, BelTA learned.
“In microelectronics we have signed the documents with the Russian Federation to divide the topological standards and the elements to be manufactured in Belarus and in Russia. Thus, complementing each other, we stand firmly on our feet. The same applies to equipment for this industry: we have divided the competencies. Thus, we seek to ensure the entire technological line in this sector in order to be self-sufficient,” Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik noted.
“Because this industry is the basis for the development of everything related,” the ambassador explained.
Belarus is willing to take part in Russia’s national projects. “It should be noted that the Russian Federation is currently implementing 19 national projects. This is a large, comprehensive amount of work. Taking into account its competencies, the Republic of Belarus could fully participate in these projects,” the ambassador said. Belarus and Russia have a common understanding on this issue, the diplomat added.
Ambassador Aleksandr Rogozhnik touched upon the topic of transport and logistics in the Union State. “We have tackled all the problems on this front. Belarusian cargoes that used to go via our so-called partners are now nicely transported through the territory of Russia,” the diplomat said.
