Africa, Nicaragua show interest in Belarusian goods

MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - The African market and Nicaragua are interested in Belarusian goods, Minsk First Deputy Mayor Nadezhda Lazarevich told the media during a meeting to discuss the results of Minsk’s social and economic development in January-March 2024, BelTA has learned.

“We pay a lot of attention to the development of foreign economic supplies of the products manufactured in Minsk. We have signed a twinning agreement with Baku this year,” Nadezhda Lazarevich said. “We are showing very good points of growth, and I am sure that we will move in the same direction with Nicaragua. The mayor of the capital of Nicaragua has paid a visit to Belarus. We worked together all the areas of cooperation last week and we see what products will be in demand in this market.”

The African market is among the priority areas for Minsk products’ exports. “We can see how popular Belagro is among representatives of these countries: both Zimbabwe and other countries that are interested in importing our products,” the Minsk first deputy mayor said. “We need to work closer with our strategic partners, expanding our positions in the regions of the Russian Federation,” she added.
