MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 12 Aryna Sabalenka secured a 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 win over Russia's Anna Blinkova, ranked 59 in the WTA, to make it into the Internationaux de Strasbourg quarterfinal, BelTA has learned.
In the opener the Belarusian saw off Australia's world number 239 Ellen Perez 6-4, 6-3.
In the quarterfinal Aryna Sabalenka will face world number 62 Katerina Siniakova of the Czech Republic.
The competitions in Strasbourg will be over on 26 September. The French Open 2020 will start at the Roland-Garros courts on 27 September.
