MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – More than 4,000 people have so far registered as volunteers for the 2019 European Games, BelTA learned from ONT TV channel.
According to the TV channel, only experienced volunteers will work at the Second European Games. Ahead of the Games all the applicants will undergo the corresponding training and will hone their skills at big competitions. More than 100 volunteers worked at the 2017-18 Tissot UCI Track World Cup in Minsk. Volunteers maintain order in the stands, meet foreign guests, and also assist the judging panel. Volunteers also assist doping officers to monitor the situation with athletes.
Among the people volunteering are many the youth. For young people it is an opportunity to get into the center of sports events and talk to champions.
The Second European Games in Minsk are scheduled to take place on 21-30 June 2019.
