Olympics 2024: Belarus’ wrestler Kadzimahamedau loses in qualification

MINSK, 9 August (BelTA) - Belarus’ wrestler Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau lost to Uzbekistan’s Razambek Zhamalov in the 74kg opening bout at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympic Games, BelTA has learned.

In the round of Last 16 the Uzbek athlete will face Slovakia’s Tajmuraz Salkazanov. All bouts including semifinals are scheduled for 9 August, with medal bouts due to take place on 10 August. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Mahamedkhabib Kadzimahamedau clinched silver. The athlete also was second at the 2024 European Wrestling Championships.
