MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Lesik the Fox mascot introduces the sports of the 2nd European Games in a new promo video, BelTA learned from the press service of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC).
The 52-second video features the mascot showing off his skills in karate, artistic gymnastics, cycling, shooting and other sports. The purpose of the video is to promote the forthcoming sport forum among sport enthusiasts.
The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in eight sports will be qualifiers for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Competitions in boxing and judo will be held as the official European championships.
