Minchanka Minsk clinch 2025/26 season title in Belarus women's volleyball championship
MINSK, 3 May (BelTA) – VC Minchanka Minsk has become the winner of the 2025/26 season of the Belarusian women's volleyball championship, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Perepelkin's side faced VC Iskra Zhlobin in the final. The first and second matches of the final series took place in the city of Zhlobin on 25 and 26 April and ended with victories for the Minsk club with the scores of 3-1. The third match on 2 May was hosted by the Uruchye Sports Palace in Minsk where the home team proved stronger in three sets (25-11, 25-12, 25-11), thereby winning the gold series in a ‘sweep’ 3-0.





The volleyball club from Minsk have become champions of Belarus for the 11th time in a row and for the 13th time since joining the structure of VC Minsk in 2006. The most decorated club in the country is also a nine-time winner of the Belarus Cup and a three-time winner of the Super Cup. VC Iskra Zhlobin, for its part, has won silver in the national championship for the first time in its history.



VC Minchanka Minsk began its national championship run directly from the playoff semifinals, where it defeated VC Kommunalnik Mogilev (3-0). The Minsk club played the 2025/26 season in the Russian women's Super League, finishing 13th out of 14 teams. Next, VC Minchanka Minsk face a series to maintain their place in the elite of the Russian championship against VC Murom, which starts on 15 May.
