Loban named Belarus’ flagbearer for Winter Paralympics opening

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – Skier Lidziya Loban will serve as the flagbearer for the Belarusian team at the opening ceremony of the XIV Winter Paralympic Games in Italy, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarus’ NOC. 

Lidziya Loban is a two-time bronze medalist of the 2018 Paralympics, a world champion, and a multiple medalist of World Cup stages in cross-country skiing and biathlon. The opening ceremony of the Winter Paralympics will take place on 6 March at the ancient Verona Arena. Belarus’ team in Italy will be represented by four athletes competing in cross-country skiing.
