International Paralympic Committee lifts partial suspensions of Russia, Belarus
MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has approved the full reinstatement of the membership of the Paralympic Committee of Belarus, BelTA learned from to the IPC press service.
The 2025 IPC General Assembly running in Seoul voted against motions to fully suspend NPC Belarus (119-48 with 9 abstentions) and partially suspend NPC Belarus (103-63 with 10 abstentions). Thus NPC Belarus regained its full IPC membership rights
A similar decision was made regarding the National Paralympic Committee of Russia. The memberships of both countries in the IPC were partially suspended in 2023.
