HC Dinamo Minsk to face HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod on the road

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk will play their second match of the away series in the regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) on 23 February, BelTA has learned.

Dmitri Kvartalnov’s team made their second stop in Nizhny Novgorod, where HC Torpedo will host the Minsk Bisons. Both teams have secured their spot in the Gagarin Cup playoffs: the Minsk side occupies third place in the Western Conference with 76 points, while the Nizhny Novgorod side follows two points behind. HC Dinamo Minsk began their away tour with a shootout loss to HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, while HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod secured two consecutive home victories: over HC Shanghai Dragons and HC Ak Bars Kazan.

In seven matches this month, the teams have identical records: four wins and three losses. In the current season, the Minsk club and Nizhny Novgorod players have faced each other three times, and each time the Minsk Bisons were victorious (3-2, 7-1, 2-1). The final meeting between HC Dinamo Minsk and HC Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the regular championship starts at 5 p.m.
