BRICS Games 2024: More medals for Belarus in weightlifting

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – Dziyana Maiseyevich and Palina Paguliayeva of Belarus claimed medals in the weightlifting tournament at BRICS Games 2024 in Kazan, Russia on 14 June, BelTA has learned.
Dziyana Maiseyevich lifted a total of 217kg (98kg+119kg) to secure silver in the 71kg weight category. Palina Paguliayeva finished third with a total lift of 216kg (95kg+121kg). Gold went to Zarina Gusalova of Russia (230kg).
The Belarusian weightlifting team have collected 5 (1-1-3) medals at BRICS Games 2024 so far.
